About Me
Hi, I’m Alice.
I started Vlaluna because my understanding of work – and especially what it means to look “professional” – has changed a lot over the years.
At the beginning, I honestly just tried to figure things out like everyone else. What to wear, what looks right, what people expect from you.

But the more experience I got, the more I realized that it’s not really about dressing “well” in a general sense.
It’s about understanding how you come across in a specific work environment, position and office.
How this all started

I started my first business at just 15 years old, which meant I got into the professional world pretty early. I’ve always been a classic workaholic who genuinely enjoys working, pushing projects forward, driving innovation and taking responsibility for both the team and the company. And that’s probably exactly what led me to start my own business at such an early stage.
Since then, I have built several online magazines and now run them within a media company where I employ three full-time team members. I also founded a marketing agency where I led a team of seven.
Through that, I’ve seen a lot of different perspectives.
- Built and scaled multiple online magazines
- Running a media company with a team
- Founded and led a marketing agency (team of 7)
- Conducted dozens of job interviews
- Experience in marketing & project management
And at some point, that naturally shifts how you look at things. You stop only thinking about how you come across and start paying attention to how everyone else does too.
What I started noticing over time
Over the years, I kept seeing the same patterns again and again.
Not big, obvious things – more the small details. How someone dresses, how put-together they look, how well their appearance fits the situation they’re in. How they speak, the words they choose, how they want to be perceived, what they try to highlight and where their insecurities and fears lie.
Some people just immediately come across as capable and trustworthy. Others don’t – even if they technically have the same skills.
And most of the time, it’s actually not something extreme – it’s very subtle.
What changed when I started leading teams
One thing that had a huge impact on how I see all of this was starting to lead teams myself.
When you aren’t just working with people but actually responsible for them, you start thinking very differently – and so did I.
I always wanted to give them the space to grow, to feel comfortable and to be 100% themselves. It was always very important tp me that the have the freedom to express their creativity and enjoy what they’re doing – as much as possible.

At the same time, there is still a certain level of professionalism that needs to be maintained, especially in client-facing environments. And the longer I did that, the more I noticed that balancing those two things is anything but easy…
Because in many traditional work environments, there is a very clear expectation of how you should look, how you should behave and how you should present yourself.
That often creates a lot of pressure.
As if the performance and the pressure that comes with the job itself weren’t already enough, you also have to think about how you look, how you come across and how you behave.
And through all those years of experience in exactly these situations, I learned how important it is to find the right balance here. And I’d say that by now that I’ve finally found that.
Why I created Vlaluna
Because that’s exactly what led me to create Vlaluna. I realized that a lot of people struggle with the same thing.

Standing in front of their closet in the morning, not knowing what to wear. Trying to figure out what looks appropriate, what feels right and how to present themselves in a way that aligns with both their role and their personality.
So I started developing what I like to call my ‘simple outfit formulas’.
These are super easy to follow, not expensive and can be combined in a LOT of different ways.
My goal with them was to feel as confident and as much as myself as possible, professional at the same time and finally, not having to think about it every single day anymore.
So here on Vlaluna, I share exactly those formulas, along with all my work fashion tips, lessons and experiences around them.
How I create the content here:
Every article you read on Vlaluna is based on my own experience.
I never wanted to and never will create content just for the sake of publishing something. I want you to be able to implement this quickly, easily and without spending a lot of money, while getting as much value out of it as possible.
That’s why most of my articles come from things I’ve actually personally experienced, tested or observed over time.
That can be:
- work-related situations I’ve faced myself
- things, mistakes or problematic issues I noticed while working with teams
- patterns I’ve seen across different industries
- my own outfit formulas that I wear almost every day, which I’ve refined, improved and perfected over the years
Of course, I also do research on some topics to include valuable background information in the articles and make them even more helpful.
But the majority of the steps, tips and guides come from my own experience.
Whenever I do research and actually include that in an article, I always reference the appropriate sources and make sure to fact-check everything across multiple sources to ensure that I’m only sharing high-quality and accurate things.
