20 Bora Bora Braids and Pretty Braided Looks to Save

Looking for bora bora braids with lots of curls or a little color? These looks give you plenty to choose from, including long dark waves, blonde curls and a gorgeous burgundy shade.
There are a few other braided styles mixed in too, from a beaded bun to short curled ends.
You can keep your hair down or try a half-up look. I especially love the little face-framing curls.
Save the pictures with the color, length and details you’d like to show your stylist.
Braided Hairstyles With Curls, Color and Cute Details
long dark curls
We’re starting off strong with these gorgeous dark braids and big loose curls. I am obsessed with how the curls fall around the face.
The small braids are most visible at the top, with waves filling out the lengths.

If you want this same look, show your stylist how much loose curl you’d like between the braids.
curly shoulder-length bob
How cute is this bob? The little braids at the roots lead into loose curls that curve around the jaw and shoulders. I love the extra fullness on one side.
Save this one if you’d rather skip the extra-long lengths.
side-swept blonde waves
If you are looking for a lighter color, this one is for you. Pale blonde waves mix with darker strands through these long braids.
The hair swept over one shoulder is my favorite part.

Try a deep side part if you want that same sweep across your forehead.
high bun and loose tendrils
I am obsessed with this braided bun. It’s so pretty, plus those long curls on either side of the face are such a lovely detail.

Ask for a high, rounded bun with a few tendrils left out rather than gathering every strand up.
deep burgundy lengths
This burgundy color may just be one of my favorites here. I love how the red becomes more noticeable through the lower lengths.
The middle part and long front braids look gorgeous with all those waves.
Keep this picture handy if you want a dark red rather than a bright cherry shade.
dark braids and caramel curls
The dark and caramel pairing is so cute in this look. Long dark braids fall through lighter brown spirals, so you can see both clearly.
If you don’t want one all-over color, ask your stylist about adding lighter curls among darker braids.
long brown curls from the back
Want a better look at the back? This picture shows the small braided sections near the scalp and all those long brown curls below.
The hair is held up at the crown, revealing the parting along the side.

This is a good second reference to bring along with a front-view picture.
half-up spirals
How adorable are these spirals? The top section is pulled up high while the rest falls around the shoulders and chest.
A few long curls are left beside the face.
I’d keep those front pieces if you’re trying this half-up style. They’re too cute to tuck away.
brown braids and fine waves
Don’t want the loose hair to hide all your braids? This brown mix gives you another option.
You can see individual braids running down the back with finer wavy strands between them.
front braids with curled ends
Those curled ends in front are such a pretty little detail! The braids beside the face stop much higher than the long hair behind them, ending in chunky spirals.

brown waves and a lifted crown
This is another lovely way to pull some hair back without putting it all up. I love the brown waves and the two slim braids left in front.
Keep a middle part at the hairline, then gather a top section back to try a similar look.
copper-brown waves
I am in love with this copper-brown shade. The long waves take up most of the look, with narrow braids peeking through near the face.
If you like your curls to be the main detail, save this picture alongside your color inspiration.
dark braids with scattered curls
If you’re looking for a dark style with clearly visible braids, go with this mix of long braids and loose curls. The small sections at the crown are easy to see in this side view.
I especially love the little curl falling beside the cheek.
colorful beads and a top bun
Love a more-is-more accessory look? This one takes a different direction from the loose-curled styles: brown braids, a top bun and lots of colorful beads.
The pink, yellow, green and white details are so fun together. Save this as separate beaded-braid inspiration rather than a reference for the curls.
swept-back braids and a loose curl
This swept-back style is so pretty with the little gold-colored flower earring. The upper braids are gathered behind the head while the long waves stay down.
Leave a curl beside your face if you want to keep that same detail. You don’t need to add anything else.
auburn bob with flipped ends
Don’t want long loose curls? No problem!
This auburn braided bob is a different option, with curled ends around the shoulders and a section clipped up at the back.
I love the little flipped tips on the front braids. Show your stylist this picture if those are the detail you want.
blonde curls and curved rows
There’s so much to love here, from the blonde curls to the curved braided rows across the crown. The darker roots make that pattern especially visible.
Bring this top-view picture if you want to discuss the parting and braid direction, not just the color.
caramel curls in a half-up ponytail
Okay, these curls are gorgeous. The upper section is gathered into a high half-up ponytail, with caramel-colored spirals tumbling over the darker braids.

I’d choose this one if you want lots of big curls at the ends. The back view shows exactly why it’s worth saving.
daisies and butterfly clips
How sweet is this decorated ponytail? Little daisies, pale yellow butterflies and a light-colored bow sit among the dark braids and curls.
For a similar decorated style, choose a small group of matching colors. The yellow and white combination here is adorable.
long waves with a high half-up section
Last but definitely not least, we have this long dark half-up look. I love the height at the crown with those loose waves falling down both sides.
Try leaving the front braids down when you gather the upper section. It’s a pretty option if you still want hair framing your face.
