Okay I’m just gonna say it: the second I slipped on my first proper brown coat last fall I understood why people lose their minds over “investment pieces”. Like yes I dropped way too much money on a chocolate brown wool maxi coat from & Other Stories but I’ve literally worn it four times a week since October and I still get heart eyes every time I catch myself in a window reflection. There’s something about a brown coat outfit that makes you look rich warm and slightly mysterious all at once. I went from “brown is boring” to “I will exclusively wear shades of mocha till further notice” in about 0.2 seconds and I’m not even mad about it.
