20 Casual Heels Outfits and More Looks to Inspire Your Next Outfit

Looking for casual heels outfits that go beyond jeans and a nice top? Think orange pumps with a white tee, black mules with shorts or strappy heels beneath cargo pants.
There are plenty of simple combinations here, plus a few dressier ideas.
You can keep things understated or bring in a bright shoe. A few pictures show sneakers, chunky boots or no shoes at all, so those are outfit starting points rather than complete heels looks. Any suggested swaps are noted below.
Outfit Ideas With Heels to Save
white tee and orange pumps
We’re starting off strong with this white tee and bright orange pumps combo. I love the rolled jean cuffs and the little rips at the knee.
Tuck your tee into loose jeans, then add a chunky chain necklace if you want to follow this look. Those shoes bring plenty of color on their own.
black mini and lime bag
How cute is that lime shoulder bag? The black cropped tee, slit mini skirt and two-strap block heels keep the rest of the outfit simple.

If you want a little color without changing your whole outfit, try a bright bag like this one.
stripes and patterned boots
This striped top may just be one of my favorites here. I love the high neckline with the cropped flared jeans.
The multicolored heeled ankle boots are such a fun detail.
Keep the jeans above the boots if you want to show off a similar pattern.
off-shoulder top and black mules
If you are looking for something simple to put together, this one is for you. A white off-the-shoulder top, straight blue jeans and black block-heel mules make up the look.
The rectangular brown shoulder bag is so pretty with it. I’d keep that detail rather than matching every accessory to the shoes.

graphic tee and slit skirt
I am obsessed with this graphic tee and black skirt pairing. The orange print gives you a little color while the pointed black heels keep the shoes understated.
Try tucking your tee into a midi skirt with a side slit to recreate the combination.
dark top and glossy slingbacks
Don’t want to go all out with prints or bright colors? No problem!
Try a dark long-sleeve top with cropped blue jeans and glossy black slingbacks.
I love the structured black bag here. The little gold-colored details on the bag and shoes are enough decoration for this outfit.
gray pleats and tall boots
How cute is this gray-on-gray combination? The loose high-neck sweater sits over a pleated mini skirt, with sheer black tights and tall black boots underneath.
The photo cuts off the bottoms of the boots, so their heel shape isn’t clear. For your own heels version, try knee-high boots with a low block heel.
pink shirt and frayed shorts
The bright pink shirt is so cute in this outfit. If you want your shorts to look a little different, try an oversized button-front shirt with one side tucked in.

The pale open-toe heels keep the shoes simple. Don’t forget the frayed shorts if you want that same casual look.
blue jacket and champagne skirt
I love this oversized blue jacket with the shiny champagne-colored skirt. The white tee underneath makes it a lovely starting point if you don’t want to feel too dressed up.
Finish yours with pointed black slingbacks and a small black bag, just like the outfit here.
brown tank and tan cardigan
If you’re looking for an outfit with simple colors, go with this brown cropped tank, tan cardigan and wide-leg jeans. The collage pairs them with pointed black slingbacks.
The large brown tote is my favorite extra here. Try leaving the cardigan open so the darker top shows.
black blazer and cycling shorts
This is such a cute way to dress up cycling shorts. The long black blazer sits over a fitted white top, with little black heeled mules below.
You don’t need to add much else. A small bag with a chain strap gives you another dressy detail without changing the black-and-white combination.
blue details and tie-up wedges
How pretty are these blue ankle ties? They match the blue sections of the pale printed halter dress, with tan wedge heels underneath.
I especially love the pale handbag with this look. If you’re choosing shoes for a patterned dress, try picking out one of its smaller colors like this.
brown blazer and clear heels
This is another jeans-and-blazer idea, but it’s a little different from the black blazer looks. I love the brown jacket over the tan top and bright blue flared jeans.
The clear straps and slim heels are worth noticing too. Keep the slightly frayed hems if you like that less dressed-up finish.
white tank and gray trousers
Don’t want lots of accessories and want something super simple? This white sleeveless top and gray trouser pairing is for you.
The black open-toe shoes peek out beneath the long hems, with a little black bag at the side. For your version, choose a trouser length that won’t drag under your heels.
checked dress and chunky boots
I love this loose checked shirt dress with the small dark handbag. The black ankle boots have chunky soles rather than the slim heels seen elsewhere here.
If you want to turn this into a heels outfit, try black block-heel ankle boots instead. I’d leave the dress and bag just as they are.
wide cuffs and white pumps
This is actually one of my favorite ways to wear white pumps. They look so pretty beneath the wide turned-up cuffs on those dark jeans.
Start with a white tee and black blazer to follow this outfit. Then add a pale gathered bag if you want another light detail.
gray hoodie and flared pants
This picture takes a different direction with white sneakers, not heels. The gray hoodie, glossy black flared pants and black quilted bag make a casual combination worth noting.

For a heels variation, swap the sneakers for white pumps. That’s a suggested change rather than the outfit shown.
cargo pants and strappy heels
I am obsessed with these loose cargo pants and delicate black heels. The pale sleeveless high-neck top keeps the outfit simple above all those pockets.
The little brown barrel-shaped bag is a fun extra. Try keeping your own top fitted if you want to follow this combination.
cream collar and pleated mini
How cute is this cream collared top with the pale pleated skirt? I especially love the narrow brown belt and the matching dark watch strap.
This collage doesn’t include shoes. To make it a complete heels outfit, I’d add brown low-heeled slingbacks that pick up the belt color.
black jumpsuit and red platforms
Last but definitely not least, we have a much dressier option. The black jumpsuit, sparkling circular earrings and red platform heels are more going-out than everyday casual.
I love the red ankle straps with those large gold-colored buckles. If you want to borrow just one detail for a casual look, try the red heels with jeans and a plain black top.
